Sacred Covenant & Practitioner Commitment
By seeking initiation into the study of the Batuka Bhairava Stotram, the seeker formally enters into this sacred agreement under the guidance of Guru Basantji.
1. Integrity of Character & Conduct
Ethical Foundation: I affirm that I approach this teaching with a righteous heart. I commit to a life free from wicked intent.
Filial Respect: I acknowledge that filial (relating to the duty and respect of a child toward their parents) respect is the mandatory foundation for this energy.
The Conduct of the Student: I vow never to be a "wicked student"—one who takes the subject matter lightly, treats the sacred verses as a mere hobby, or takes the Guru’s time for granted. Guru Basantji will be given utmost respect and will never be spoken to or treated in ways that are disrespectful or casual.
2. Strict Non-Disclosure & Self-Practice
Absolute Secrecy: I understand that this Sahasranama is strictly for my own internal discipline. I agree never to share, show, or teach these verses to anyone.
Protected Knowledge: This knowledge is befit (appropriate and suitable) only for the prepared mind under direct guidance. I will not discuss it with non-believers, the cynical, or the unrighteous. I understand that the misuse or casual sharing of this knowledge leads to negative consequences.
3. Embracing the Yogic Mindset
To receive this transmission, you are being prepared to act "Yogi-like." Being a Yogi means:
Self-Mastery: You are not a slave to your moods, laziness, or ego.
The Mindset: You are not a "customer" or a "consumer"; you are a seeker refining your soul. You approach the practice with a steady, one-pointed focus, treating the Stotram as a living vibration rather than mere text.
4. The Unity of Bhairava and Shiva
The Source of Grace: I acknowledge that the path of Bhairava is never separate from the grace of Shiva. Bhairava is the fierce manifestation of Shiva’s own consciousness.
The Cooling Anchor: I understand that the Shiva Sahasranama is not just "another lesson," but the essential anchor for my practice. Because Bhairava is the Shakti (the dynamic power) of Shiva, the Shiva Sahasranama provides the "cooling" foundation of Shiva's infinite peace. This is required to safely handle the "heat" of Bhairava’s intense transformative power.
The Vow of Gratitude: Out of pure gratitude for being granted access to Batuka Bhairava, I formally agree to later learn the Shiva Sahasranama under the guidance of Guru Basantji.
Student Affirmation
"I, [Name], accept these conditions as a sacred vow. I recognize Guru Basantji as my guide and authority in this transmission. I pledge my silence, my discipline, and my devotion, understanding that the efficacy of this practice depends entirely upon my integrity and my respect for the Guru and the Lineage."
After reading and accepting the above Sacred Covenant, please submit the form to proceed.
